Terms of service
Plain terms for a simple app. Using WidgetHeaven means you agree to them.
1. The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Quassum MB, Vilnius, Lithuania ("we", "us") covering the WidgetHeaven iPhone app, its widgets and the widgetheaven.app website (together, the "Service"). By installing or using the Service you accept them. If you do not, do not use the Service.
Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app, and where it conflicts with these terms the stricter one wins.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, use it to build a competing product, scrape or overload our servers, or bypass the Free tier limits or Pro checks.
3. Your account
The app creates an anonymous account on first launch. It lives on that iPhone: if you delete the app or lose the phone without having signed in with Apple or Google, the anonymous account and its widget settings cannot be recovered. Signing in is optional and exists so you can restore widgets and Pro on another device. You are responsible for keeping your Apple or Google credentials safe.
4. Free and Pro
The Free tier includes a limited number of widgets and a subset of kinds, variants and styles. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) that unlocks everything. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may differ by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings; deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy; we cannot issue them ourselves.
- We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and keep Pro in sync across your devices. "Restore purchases" in the app re-checks your Apple ID.
- We may change which features are Free or Pro, and Pro pricing for new periods, with notice in the app. Changes never remove a feature from a period you have already paid for.
5. Third-party data
Widgets with live data show information from third parties (for example Open-Meteo, NOAA, USGS, CoinGecko, Twelve Data, AeroDataBox, TheSportsDB, GitHub, the public status pages of the services you pick and the RSS publishers you pick). It is provided as is: it may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and it is not financial, medical or safety advice. Do not trade, travel, sail or make health or safety decisions on a widget alone: flight times come from airline and airport feeds and can change, tide heights are modelled and not for navigation, and earthquake and aurora data are informational. Device data shown by Calendar, Reminders, Health, Photos and Battery widgets comes from your own iPhone and is governed by Apple's permissions.
Widgets refresh on a schedule that iOS controls. We do not guarantee a particular refresh rate.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to add feeds or content you are not allowed to access, or to disrupt the Service or other users. We may rate-limit, suspend or close accounts that do.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running but it may be interrupted for maintenance, provider outages or reasons outside our control. We may add, change or retire widget kinds, variants and features, and may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice. Old app versions may stop working when the configuration format changes; the app will ask you to update.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its designs, variants, names and code belong to us or our licensors. Your own widget settings and any content you add remain yours; you give us the right to store and process them to run the Service. Third-party marks (Apple, iPhone, App Store and data providers) belong to their owners.
9. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived, or liability for fraud, gross negligence or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app. We may end the agreement if you breach these terms. On termination your licence ends and we delete your account data as described in the privacy policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes go to the courts of Vilnius, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to sue where you live. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
12. Contact and changes
Questions about these terms: [email protected]. We may update the terms; material changes are announced in the app before they take effect, and continued use after that means you accept them.
